Well, I'd like to state that I am probably the biggest proponent of getting rid of Stan behind the bench - but I have to tell you, he is doing a heck of a job in this post season. Historically we have seen him in the post season steer a superior team to defeat. What I am seeing here is a very different Stan in terms of his behind the bench strategic coaching. In terms of his behind the scenes treatment of the players I haven't been privy to anything lately - but in speaking to former players there ain't a real big Stan fan club.

Not that this latter point means anything as you don't really want a coach who is your best friend - but there didn't seem to be alot of appreciation for him as a coach.

In any case, he is doing a much better job this post season than I had expected and I am quite happy with that. Could another coach do better? I would have to say yes, but at this stage, I would say only a handful.

Hopefully Stan has learned something this season, obviously he has been councilled on coaching in the post season. I have my thoughts as to who, but the important thing is that Stan seems to be listening and learning from someone as he has certainly changed his backbench decisions - in a positive manner.

Who knows, we could be just 3 short games away from the "Stan's the Man" t-shirts.

Tomorrow's game is going to be HUGE - let's hope the boys have taken something from this series thus far and can bring their A game.

Hey Bat Man, every game is the most important game in bats history from now on in, as they are in fact making history with every game they play.

You are right as well, Stan is not only mixing up lines (almost a little too much and too quickly at times IMO) but he is also adjusting his team strategies based on what the opposition is throwing at them. These are things that he really didn't do in the first two series'. In fact had never done in any previous playoffs. I actually heard someone say that Stan even outcoached the Spitfires last game. In all these years the words "outcoached" and "Stan" only collided in the same sentence when describing the reasons for a bats loss.

It's history in the making man, years from now when the bats make it to the finals again, the discussion will be "I can remember back in 2009 in the bats 4th game of the finals they..."
